The ICDF isn't a competition – it's a legend! Since 2001, it has attracted the best dancers from around the world. Over 30,000 hearts have already beaten on this stage in Mikołajki. 2001. The Gołębiewski Hotel in Mikołajki. A small hall, the first flickering lights, thermoses of tea in her parents' hands.
Little Ola, 9 years old, wearing her older sister's oversized ballet slippers, stood in the doorway and froze. Her knees trembled, her eyes filled with tears. Her mother, from the back row, whispered softly, "My daughter... go". And Ola went. She did her first pirouettes. The room began applauding even before the music ended.
Today, Ola is a coach and returns here every year with a group of 12. She touches up her students' makeup and whispers the same thing to them: "go."
Because she knows that Mikołajki doesn't just change the children. It changes entire families – coaches, parents, siblings. And you? Will this be your beginning? Will this be your child's beginning?

HISTORY
It all began in 2001 at the Gołębiewski Hotel in Mikołajki, where the best dancers from around the world gathered for 16 years.
From 2017 to 2019, the Festival moved to the OSSA Hotel, where, alongside the World Championships, it hosted dancers, primarily street dancers.
The pandemic prompted another venue change – from 2020 to 2023, the festival moved to Raszyn, where special holiday categories were created. The festival has become an icon on the Polish dance competition scene.
In 2024, we returned to our homeland – history has come full circle, and the 2024 edition was a spectacular organizational success, as was the 2025 edition. In 2025, 87% of participants said they would return in 2026 – because Mikołajki changed their dance forever.
We invite you to the next edition, which will take place from December 10–13, 2026, at the Gołębiewski Hotel in Mikołajki. There were tears in the car at 4 a.m., phone calls saying "we can't do this" - but they kept going. A legend returns to give someone another hug.

PARTICIPATION
Room reservations are available through the hotel reservation form at christmasdance.pl until October 28, 2026. After this date, reservations are subject to availability. Space is limited – first come, first dance!
Register via danceit.pl by November 14, 2026, and submit a written commitment to the Organizer for 100% of the entry fee, as specified in your registration.
By November 20, 2026: 1. Make 100% payment for your booked rooms and submit the check-in list to the hotel, 2. Pay the entry fees to the Organizer's account, as specified in your commitment. The sooner you register, the greater your chance of securing rooms at a special price. More info in Stay&Meals section.
December 10–13, 2026 is a time for presentations, fun, relaxation, networking, and new dance friendships.

Entry fees are due by November 20, 2026. For PFT license holders (2026 or 2027): submit the "PFT Dancers" form by December 6, 2026, to m.gawron@pft.org.pl.

When I look at the stage in Mikołajki, I see more than just dancers - I see stories. I see children who were once afraid to step onto the dance floor, now leading their own groups. I see coaches who arrive here exhausted by life and leave with burning eyes. This isn't a competition. This is a place where dance heals, unites families, and reminds us that dreams can come true, even in December. In 2026, we will witness miracles again - and I can't wait to be a part of them with you.
For me, Mikołajki is that time of year when the world of dance ceases to be a competition for a moment and becomes a big, warm family. I see 12-year-olds from different cities hugging each other after a performance, parents crying with pride, coaches exchanging phone numbers at 2 a.m. by the pool. It's the only place where disco, hip-hop, and ballet come together under the Christmas tree and say, "You're great just the way you are." Come – because here, no one is truly alone.
As a Federation, we observe hundreds of competitions a year – but Mikołajki is different. It's the only venue where artistic excellence is evident, paired with the same dose of pure joy and holiday warmth. Here, it's not just technique that matters – it's the appreciation of passion and the heart someone puts into two minutes of your life. In 2026, we will once again witness the birth of new stars and the return of those who have long since become legends. This is a year-round celebration of dance – and I recommend it to anyone who loves dance more than points.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The club's coach determines the level of advancement of a given competitor based on previous results and knowledge of the dancer. To avoid disqualification and skewed results, please ensure dancers are correctly assigned to the level of advancement in a given category, especially the beginner group.
- The competitor's year of birth determines the age category, with the exception of the SHOWCASE categories.
- Each competitor may only be a member of one formation or group in a given category.
- In the event of a low number of entries, the organizer reserves the right to combine or cancel categories.
- In the event of a large number of entries, the order in which they are received will be decisive.
- The dance floor dimensions are 14 m x 12 m - a ballet dance floor.
- A copy of the entry fee payment must be presented upon registration.
- The delegate is responsible for the insurance of the competitors.
- Each club is obligated to provide the required number of chaperones; the organizer does not provide supervision for participants.
- The club or dancer has the right to withdraw from the competition at any stage. Withdrawal from the Tournament does not result in a refund of the entry fee.
- The organizer provides medical care during the competition.
- Changing rooms are open to the public and are not locked or supervised. The organizer is not responsible for any items left inside.
- Each dancer is required to have an ID document that will allow the Chief Judge to verify their date of birth.
- Each dancer is required to dance in shoes designed for this purpose or barefoot.
- The use of props or substances that may damage or stain the floor is prohibited.
- Written consent from the organizer is required for all forms of advertising.
- The organizer reserves the right to combine skill levels or age categories.
- During the Competition, participants are required to strictly adhere to occupational health and safety and fire safety regulations.
- Participation in the Tournament is tantamount to expressing permanent and unconditional voluntary consent to video and television recording of all presentations and to their use, publication and broadcast in any media by the organizers, as well as to the use of personal data in competition materials.
- Protests submitted exclusively in written form will be accepted up to 15 minutes after the end of the competition and will be reviewed by the Head Judge and the Organizer after a PLN 200 deposit has been paid. If the protest is rejected, the deposit is non-refundable and forfeited to the Organizer.
- Each club receives special wristbands for coaches and competitors, which entitle them to access to the locker room and the dance floor. Tickets for accompanying persons entitle them to a seat in the audience, but not in the dancers' area.
- In the event of damage, the participant (group) who caused it is responsible for covering the costs of repairing it.
- Security personnel provide security and access control within the facility.
